A Long History of Community Support
Our History
In 1972, members of a growing retirement community realized they needed a hospital close to home. Through grassroots fundraising, a generous land donation and support from local physicians, Saddleback Medical Center (then “Saddleback Community Hospital”) opened its doors in 1974. Since then, the Foundation has partnered with donors to provide new technology, essential services and facility enhancements. Together, we continue to ensure world-class care for our community.
